About the Founder
Creator and founder of Discovermusic.fm, Dale Olivier has worked in the music industry since 1997, building extensive experience across record labels, music promotion, PR, radio and digital media.
Dale began his career by launching Matchbox Recordings, one of the early record labels to establish a presence on the internet. The label produced and released numerous various-artist compilations, helping emerging artists gain valuable airplay, exposure and opportunities across a wide range of media platforms.
This experience led to the creation of Matchbox Music PR, a successful music promotion company providing professional promotional services to independent artists and established record labels. The company achieved 40 official UK Music Week chart positions, secured coverage on BBC Radio, and provided label services to major record companies, including Universal Music.
Building on this experience, Dale went on to create Discovermusic.fm, which has developed into a global music media and promotion network. Today, Discovermusic.fm publishes and operates across 35+ music blog and digital radio brands, reaching audiences and industry contacts across the UK, Europe, USA, Asia and Africa.
